Lost Illusions under a vain, indifferent moon lost in an instant love… a flake of snow in an angry Winter wind the heart… a ruined city where all roads lead only to the past the spirit... a lonely spectre forever chasing dream-shadows |

Fine use of metaphor here and razor sharp imagery..thank you.. Goldenrose. Ring out, wild bells, to the wild sky, ring out the old, ring in the new, ring out the false, ring in the true..A Lord Tennyson |

"A ruined city where all roads lead only to the past." I think this is very sad but so pure in it's depth of thought. Ida |

Hello Bruce "under a vain, indifferent moon" The first illusion...to think a moon holds power...I see here how it is the melencholy that makes the moon here, perhaps made even greater by the way it is so often looked at, through the eyes of love. A poignant poem. Sad. |

Man and Poet you got your sadness through powerfully!! A temporary feeling I hope! Whether we want or not we are projected into the future ... the soul knows and lights the Path. Love, Margherita |
