Breath scented with the heady wine Draws me into night divine, An arched smile on glistening lips Enchanting trace of finger tips. Soft words spoken hushed and low Beside the candle’s amber glow, I gaze upon the face of love Tonight is writ in stars above. Half concealed by flowing silk A perfect skin as pale as milk, Beauty for the end of days Within my bed an angel lays. Seraphic visage, seductive eyes A teasing touch, she softly sighs That paradise can no longer wait, Opens the way to heaven’s gate. The oceans of our souls meet there As we the wine of Eros share, True love’s passion never tires To pierce the clouds with blazing spires. Dedicated to Shannon, my beloved. Never sigh for a better world, it's already composed, played and told. |

Yo Suncleaver, This is very well done. You make great use of end rhymes. This Shannon person is a lucky chick. Bobby |

Thank you for the kind comments guys. I'm usually quite poor with metaphors and write in a very matter-of-fact manner, but tonight I think I managed to get them just right. Shannon sends her love. Never sigh for a better world, it's already composed, played and told. |

Sup sun. How yeah been bro? It is good to see you have found a form of beauty in your life. At least one of us has. Although not my style, I prefer the Dark Poetry. It was a great read as usual bud. I wish you both well. "The oceans of our souls meet there As we the wine of Eros share, True love’s passion never tires To pierce the clouds with blazing spires." very nice |
