You tell me you'd love
to show me around
without being asked.

I half invited myself
into your apartment.
You tell me
there's a couch in the living room.

I say "there's plenty room
for two on that couch,
and beds are overrated."
You laugh at that,
because it's a little funny.

Maybe I can talk you
into sleeping in your living room
tomorrow night.

Sleeping on the carpet is good for the back, much better than the couch.

Bobby- Thanks, broheem. Sleeping on the carpet is great if you can sleep on your back, I can only sleep on my side, unfortunately.
