Far away you lie asleep under frozen northern skies
Deep beneath a dreaming veil I know your body lies

We can bridge the many miles as far as it may seem
I feel your arms around my chest a spirit in my dreams

Within this twilight reverie your sweet breath I can taste
Your gentle eyes your pounding heart the smooth curve of your waist

We lie in love this perfect trance two souls entwined as one
And then like autumn mist you fade under the rising sun.

A whispering voice upon the wind I hear you call my name
Bear my heart away with you I know we'll meet again

Dedicated to Shannon, my beloved.

While I greatly appreciate you all enjoying my poem, I am afraid (correct me if I'm wrong) that Bill may have got the wrong end of the stick. She's in Scotland, not passed away.

Beautiful write!  I hope you sent it to her.  Maybe the ghost or the dream is more real than one would suppose.  Enjoyed your expression very much.

Thanks Honeybunch. I always send the ones dedicated to her to her.

When I posted her the links she was absolutely overjoyed at the response the poems 'Of Ghosts and
Dreams', 'Seraphic', 'The Crystal Rose' and 'Fathomless' recieved, so thanks very much guys.

Love and smiles to all of you, from Luke.

Yeah man. I am feeling this. Inspirational indeed. I think I will post a poem here in the open forums for a change. With my dark past lets see what I can come up with.

Yeah Def, you should really try and uncover more sides to your character.

Thank you for your comments on the poetry.

your poems mix a feel of not neccesarily old poetry and new poetry, but a vast mixture of language, im only 18 so my writing style is unfortunately more punctual whereas, some people i feel use way too many big words, and it takes away fomr the simple feeling of a simple poem, but i feel that the way you write is right in the middle, which in my mind is just astonishing.

i've read a couple of your poems and liked them all, this though is my favorite, keep up the work, and i hope i didnt confuse you with all that.
