Canadian Mice Adventure Eh!
Meeting Boss The Cat - Part Three

So...Mousekiteer, and Mousteria began their venture out,
In search of Niagara Falls one hot, and sticky summer day.
They found it quite by accident I’m almost sure,
As Kit has her very own, shall we say, “unique driving way.”

Opps, seems I forgot one itty, bitty, tiny, teeny thing,
I’m from out West, where no land is flat you see.
Four flights to go up the stairs is to them an, “incline,”
They looked like they were seriously going to kill me.

“Wow,” we said when made it up to our suite,
“Now this truly is the life, “ I said!
Not only a view of Niagara Falls,
But each mouse will have its own bed!

We settled in, “oooh’d and ahhh’d” we both,
Up and down, then up, and downed the stairs some more,
Finally later on the evening of that first day,
We were told Miss Gypsy Mouse was now at the door.

~*~

By now I figured we’ve just hit domestic pay dirt,
I really don’t give up this suite as our home base,
But Miss Gypsy Mouse bought tickets for that Shaw Festival,
I had to get a quick plan together, and get it well into place.

I know I will give up the, “Canada Eh! Dinner Show,”
Then “Major Barbara” will be easy to dump I bet?
At my suggestion – you had to have been there,
To see the looks from those two mice, I did get!

Well Nan made such feeble excuses why we had to go,
Adamant with her every word, no way would that mouse break.
You don’t argue with Nan,(remember her eraser?)
So 3 mice set off for that Niagara-On-The-Lake.

~*~

What an incredible place it was, beautiful, and so clean.
I “detoured” as only I can do, venturing about the town.
Taking pictures, looking in stores, galleries, and the like,
While Nan and Kit sat their tired little fannies down.

I arrived right on time, and we were all ushered in.
Then what to my very amazement and utter surprise,
There sat a man in OUR seat 4, a tacky tourist yet,
His cap on, Hawaiian shirt, I simply couldn't believe my eyes!

You don’t know me but I’ll die trying to get my way,
So I ask this guy to move to accommodate my friend.
He wouldn’t even look up at me, then responded with,
“No, I don’t think so, I tend to get sea sick on the end.”

I know I’ll drive him nutty, talking over him to Kit,
For sure he’ll move then, and we will win this war.
He wouldn’t budge no matter what, so I gave in for now,
But this stubborn jerk was not someone I was about to ignore!

“Well,” I said, “If you insist on joining us.
Want to see some pictures I took at Niagara Falls.”
Not once did Nan or Kit smirk or smile, not once!
You can bet at my expense they all had balls.

Intermission this guy actually had the nerve to show up.
Gee, he’s actually kind of cute for one second I thought.
He’s got 4 bottles of much needed water in hand,
I’m thinking it takes more than water for me to be bought!

He says, “Seeing we’re all now sitting together now,
We should introduce ourselves I guess?”
“I’m Sharon from Vancouver”, I said, smiling,
While thinking, “Oh this is just one fine big mess.”

He looked up and I saw those unmistakable bright blue eyes,
I sort of “felt” right then that these 3 mice had taken me in.
He smiled and said, “Well, I am Ron from Michigan, “
His beautiful smile broke into a really wide grin!

T’was the big Kahuna himself, Ron Carnell,
That darn “Boss The Cat” was out for fun, and sure ready to play.
Man these mice sure had gotten me really good I tell you,
There’s a first time for everyone, so they say.

Yup sort of Mike! He is indeed a bit of Wranx to be quite truthful.  Every bit as sweet, and every bit as nice.  This will surely be killing you reading this, but I sure appreciate it Michael, and you can (insert a mad laugh right here.) We had a ton of great fun. I am spitting this stuff out "my way" like nobody's business, so I can show you all some pictures we took, so excuse the rushed words, chalk it up to jet lag at least this time.

Going to tell you a real secret about Ron, he has the most trusting, beautiful turquoise blue eyes you ever saw in your entire life, and a disposition, and heart that matches them perfectly.  I miss him already.  He would be buying a ticket really fast if he knew I would show up in Michigan I bet, but then I love surprises. and it seems like so does he I imagine, LOL.

I hope that neither you nor Ron will mind that I took the liberty of editing that handsome headshot of our Head Honcho!

LOL, Sharon, you crack me up! Nan, Ron and I will NEVER forget the look on your face when it finally sunk in, who was holding your hand, rofl.

My only regret, was that I didn't have a camera handy at that exact moment, lol.

Thanks for doing such a great job with all the pictures. You're a natural. I'm sure glad you carried that thing everywhere so we could share some nice shots with everyone here!

Best wishes and big Hugs,
/Kit

Well Ruthie, hold onto that thought as next year we can plan better and find a place to house everyone.  This started out as me going to Kit's and grew from there actually.  I would love another "Hell Yeah 2006" and I am game if you guys are?  How about somewhere not so hot though, or even in the fall.  Hey Ron has a BIG yard, we could all tent there and surprise him!  LOL now that is one surprise I would love to plan!

Somewhere not so hot, Sharon?  I guess that leaves out so Cal, unless it's in the winter or spring.  I'd love to be included, wherever!!

Know what I would LOVE?  I'd love a theme-park based gathering, yup I sure would, and I hear Pennsylvania offers the best in the country Maybe that is a good destination for a get together?  I am so bored now, it is ridiculous, so would be happy to go on another adventure.  Nothing like scaring the bejillies out of you on a ride to drum up some poetry right?
