 There once lived a mouse named Tess, Who was always making a mess. She left crumbs high and low, Yet wherever she’d go, For the mess she’d never confess. There once lived a pussy named Pete, Who was always wanting to eat. He would hunt high and low, And wherever he’d go, He searched for the tastiest treat. The mouse lay asleep in sweet dream, Pete’s eyes were both glinting with gleam. The cat crept to her side, With his mouth opened wide, ~ Of the crop, poor Tess was the cream! |
