Fine shades of blue turned putrid green
A Passions visage yet unseen!

How could this be? Someone confess!
Whose fireworks left such a mess
While Boss the Cat has headed north
to celebrate July the Fourth?

To all mouse friends, I say BEWARE
He'll soon be back, to see this fare.
Till then, though, I shall play with you
How 'bout some stripes, red, white & blue?
