On the surface, I look like I've just been to the circus. On the inside, I look like the aftermath of a train wreck. These masks I wear to hide my tears, to hold onto what I shouldn't bother holding dear. To tears and memories, which should just fade away. Mistakes or burdens choose your own adventure, just like the books I read in school. But hidden beneath this worn cover, is a girl tattered and torn. On the surface, everything looks to be in sync. On the inside, it's all out of whack. Fade...the surface. |

Letting go is easier said than done, but time (and self-reliance) makes everything easier. Until then, I hope writing helps. |
