There's a girl who I think we all know... Like a cat scratch she cuts herself lightly and listens to the needle tracks on a CD. Her sadness all feigned and invention. A walking deception craving attention. Like a Sylvia Plath melodramatic recital she scrawls a fake angry "Goodbye, all" across her school books just to get a few looks. There's a girl who I think doesn't know... That the blonde girl she thinks is so happy has an unspoken wish to bleed out slowly. Her quiet anguish an unbearable weight turns her life into everything she hates. That girl who last night wrote her suicide note, hid deliberately poorly in a pocket of her coat, wishes someone would see her hopeless "Help me". There's a girl who I think should be shown that blonde girl who died bleeding alone. "The world won't end in darkness, it'll end in family fun |

~ This is "right up my alley." ~ The rhyming scheme was very well done. It reminded me of lyrics from various prog metal bands that I admire. ~ The story told well, and was "dead on" for its purpose. ~ Thumb is up! "Melvin, the best thing you got going for you is your willingness to humiliate yourself." |
