With Her in my Company It’s incredible to me How much there is in a face In a look, in a voice, in a presence The ones that bring with them affection Those ones I cherish most There once was a girl Whom bare-chested my heart She had eyes and an ear for someone I was never the one she wanted or whished I was only a ghost in the wind She was once a true love of mine My days were spent whisked far away Far from my body, and far from my brain I wanted nothing but her love but she gave it away To everyone that I looked to around me Can’t she see my melancholic soul? Can’t her heart hear the song that I’ve been singing? I once adored, but from my genuflections reverberated sound On the opus of my dying hearts majestic song of loves distained I held her once, and once again Incredible she was The face I still remember Her look, face, voice, presence She brought with her, affections I cherish her the most I am the two-toed wanderer |
