Lord, lift me above the pain eternal. Make me float over oceans of grief, and not sink. Give me wisdom, to ease the burdens of others. Hold back my tongue when it is time to just think. And if a wish I should ask you, be beyond what you reason. Then grant me the strength, to weather the “no”. Direct my soul towards a path well traveled. Direct my life where you wish me to go. And if it isn’t too much, then grant me a soul mate. For I’ve grown weary of loneliness, and aching for him. Lord, grant me but one more chance for living. Lighten a life that has grown all too dim. Instill in me a humble purpose, to steady me when life’s seas start to rock. To traverse this world with a quiet dignity. Until my ship is called home to your final dock. |

Oh, my! Your prayerful poem is so incredibly moving! I found myself uttering "Amen" throughout the first half of your poem, and then switching to sending prayers for your soul mate to come in to your life. You wrote with "quiet dignity". Beautiful poem. Beautiful you. God's Loving Light, EA |

Ah Such a beautiful prayer ! I noticed... "Give me wisdom, to ease the burdens of others. Direct my soul towards a path well traveled. Instill in me a humble purpose, To traverse this world with a quiet dignity." ...and my heart sang praises, for it appears to me that so many of your prayerful requests have already been granted. I offer an Amen...in faith... That by grace the rest will soon be manifested in your life. (((seraphin))) |

LeeJ I just read your latest work, and thought to myself, why can my prayer not be? If ever there was a soul calling to me, it was yours. In spirit I am there with you. In truth, I've walked down your roads myself. You are not alone, ever. |
