Well I'm not sure how the conversation turned to songs for suicide. It just did. Nails Nine long Inches will always Hurt, All Apologies is sheer Nirvana Those ol' Seasons In The Sun are one with The End of Doors the HEAD of a gOD loves to Hate Today Cults of Oysters which are Blue Don't Fear The Reaper Black Hole Sun within the garden of Sound A Cemetery with Chairs of Silver And all Eels Need Some Sleep And Floyd who loves Pink Wishes You Were Here and are Comfortably Numb Who ever knew there were so many myriad songs to die to? There just are. "The world won't end in darkness, it'll end in family fun With Coca Cola clouds behind a Big Mac sun." One God by The Beautiful South |

Hello Triskai! I can't remember your long name just now (sorry!)... I know all the songs except Chairs of Silver and Eel. Suicides are a part of life, sadly sometimes.... ever hear Johnny Cash doing Nine Inch Nails "Hurt"? Thanks for the read! Moonkist |

Firstly thank you for reading and for your comment I have indeed heard the Johnny Cash cover of Hurt. It is my second favorite cover of the song after David Bowie's live performance with Nine Inch Nails. As for the Eels song you may have heard it in Shrek 2, I was quite amused and somewhat bewildered to hear what is rumuored to be a song about heroin in a children's film. If I recall correctly I think the lyrics are: "I need some sleep time to put the old horse down I’m in too deep and the wheels keep spinning round" I have to say as well its good to hear of someone who actually knows who gODHEAD are asuuming that you do lol "The world won't end in darkness, it'll end in family fun |

well LT, I'm sure you don't need to be listening to those kinds of songs I used to love to listen to stuff like that...funny how things change right when you just 'can't take it anymore'. |

I don't know gODHEAD! And I didn't know about Eel's heroin song in Shrek... Who the heck was in charge of that decision?? :P And where's Tipper Gore? Anyways, I'll definitely check out Bowie's version of Hurt... thanks for that tidbit of info too! Have a great day, Triskai! ~Moonkist (look forward to reading more from you!) |
