Dad, Why? |

Son, you asked me why.... Why is there war? I looked into those questioning blue eyes surrounded by freckles and worry. Thinking silently, yet with that fatherly mask that doesn’t tell him of my fears and worries. Why son...I guess you could say we have wars because we are human and humans sometime fear others, sometimes feel the need for safety, security and survival... ...Sometimes more... More? Again with that quizzical look, but with less worry. Why more? Because son, sometimes people feel they must have more, must have the grass on the other side of the fence.... And they will do anything to get that greener grass....Greed and lust cause many wars. Dad, are there winners in wars? No son, just those that lose less... No one wins in war...
