Rhia, I didn't understand the title in relation to the poem either, but I chalked it up to my lack of MTV education. I enjoyed the work because it echoed (for me) the torn sentiment of a marine I know that was stationed in Afghanistan. His job was to destroy the opium crop, which he had started to do with great enthusiasm, as he had prior bad experience with people addicted to opiates. Then he realized that one man's devil, was another family's yearly income. And hmmm...perhaps the addiction to opiates is what ties in the title? I dunno, as I don't touch the stuff. |

Hopefully MTV is not the sole source of music for anyone. Rome-style-decline? Chuckling here, as I watched MTV years ago, before 'its decline'...my opinion, there aren't many good music videos or shows these days. |
