It’s a push to the playground of love and the round-about isn’t much fun with the slide on the side in dare of first the effort and then the thrill. There’s a see-saw of indecision that crashes to ground a good intention and a place to build a relationship vulnerable to insensitivity. Swing on emotion and it’s still a-moving long after it’s over and done, but climb, do climb, the jungle of love just to come down to earth and the gates and perimeter fences erected as protection. Oh, yes, the playground of love; a fantasy land where superman flies up, up, and away and a woman is left to report on the best days of her life ~ and this can be vice-versa too in this era of equality. There’s more in the bordering trees that connect an event to history and attract love’s smoldering heat into the shade of memory. And always a path and a hand along the very long walk to arrive is the same to hasten departure because whatever opens must close. Such is the playground of love where dreams fill the air of hope until the inevitable rust and erosion of the equipment of soul! Helen / 27 September 2006 |

I have fallen off a swing or two in the "playground of love". Such joy ~ and such despair ~ can be experienced there. "Such is the playground of love where dreams fill the air of hope until the inevitable rust and erosion of the equipment of soul!" ~ May your playground of love be filled only with the "air of hope". If your love starts to rust, perhaps it would be time to go to another playground. Warm hug o' love, Linda |
