When Time Meant Everything

Sometimes best laid plans
Can be often derailed
I had tried to reach you
Yet for some reason I failed

Reaching from here to there
Was my timing not right
For once more we pass
Like those ships in the night

Remember there was a time
You made life worthwhile
I hope paths cross again
As I have gone the extra mile

I know time waited for no one
Still I am awaiting to see
Maybe there is a chance
That you might remember me

Its ages since I heard from you
What will tomorrow bring
Still I can remember when
Sharing time meant everything
