as you climbed
with your voice shoes loosened

my branches worshiped your words

your caution was in white gowns
but trees are known worldly
and some soiling is worthy

of the climb and the view

when at the peak of the valley
in the deep above the love
when higher than looking down

and you said it was worth it

and you might wear black next time
and let me realize how you fit
between my limbs better than fingers

or maybe you'd just wear nothing at all
