Sleepwalk At night when slumber welcomes me I’ll take a walk so heavenly Across the starry moonlit skies To gaze into my lover's eyes For there she waits to take my hand And stroll across this wonderland We meet each night in clouded mist Enjoying love’s celestial tryst We’ll stroll along the Milky Way And watch the silvery moonbeams play Past pools of starlight we will dance Within an ethereal trance I pray my sleep will never end So with my sweet love I can spend Each cherished moment of the night In love’s embrace so warm and tight My thoughts are filled with end of day When dreamland is not far away My lady love waits patiently To sleepwalk ‘cross the skies with me |

A most beautiful inspiring write! The rhyme and flow of this is so much like a waltz. Lovely indeed! Hugs~Nancy ~Autumn, the year's last, loveliest smile~ |

I have to agree with Nancy. This waltzes very softly, your lightfooted sweet dreams! |

If there is ONE thing I work hard at [when not writing free verse] is to look for those who can competently write rhyming poetry with the correct "feet". I suck at it. I think it is because my own internal "heartbeat" is a slight bit "off" and what I "hear" in my own head seems to have the correct count, but alas, I'm always being pulled up short by the best of the poets who care that I care, and told, "nope...missed it here, and here..." Sigh. BUT...now I have yet one more master to emulate...and appreciate, wholeheartedly. Thank you, Sir...for coming to Passions, and hopefully, you will make it a home, because I'm sure enjoying your style. " It matters not this distance now " Excerpt, Yesterday's Love |

I don't think I've ever told you I admire your work, so this is the perfect chance. A lovely write, spun beautifully. It is a pleasure to read you. Sandra |
