Birds sing and I believe it’s true;
there’s a song in everyone
and a vibrancy of movement
to enliven the enslaved.

I sing sometimes a lullaby
these days more than before
to stop me walking out the door
weighted with a dream ~
but I want to rock and roll the times
and be cool, be cool, be cool,
with my reality.

And I hear the moody blues
behind the eyelids droning on
in vain seeking acclaim
from the “who I am”.

Rap, rap, rap, and something’s gone
from harmonic soul refrains
that in the aftermath
want to drift lazily
on a love song.

Happy songs – clap, clap, clap,
and tomorrow brings the classics
done before by everyone
and not uniquely mine
like the silent soulful song
I sing reverently for you ~
and I wonder if you hear it
amongst the alternatives.

A very deep and wonderful song you sing, dear Helen! Even thoughts are energy, imagine songs ... wherever the listener stays he hears, that is if he truly listens.

We still have to learn to listen better to all the tunes of life.

Love,
Margherita

Beautiful! And as tuneless as I am without a radio or something (even that doesn't always come out right)this is particularly nice to hear/read....

Your soulful song was sung so sweetly. Your voice ~ and pen ~ sang to my soul.

I love it
Yes, there is always a song in my heart!

Poet, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.
