I would give my all to know why shadows fall so bleakly made to maul in sunlight's pristine rule. Unless already I know why that the sun's zenith in the sky illumes the evanescence of the lie to make dreams whither, run and die. But moonlight too births newborn fears that squeal and beckon to now deaf ears. The mirror's eyes holding too many years will grow and quicken to quicksilver tears. How many thoughts embalmed in formaldehyde inside the darkened corners of this mind? How many layers of lies beneath glazed eyes have I raised as walls to hide behind? I cannot say but sunlight's gaze opens the maze then moonlight's thrall devours the walls until there is nowhere left to hide at all... Hiding from myself I so adore There's nothing I love more "The world won't end in darkness, it'll end in family fun |
