It's a full moon...the mind was bored...so a bit of nonsense, a humorous (hopefully) look at ...um...well you'll figure it out...LOL.. The Helix and the Heart Divided on the part Which of two the better guide In pursuit of a bride. The Helix liked the direct path - In his world of twisted math One plus one was always two - And any 'one' would do. The Heart was soft and mellow, Sensitive and kind-like fellow; Sang all day of love and roses In a world of poems and posies. The Helix to the point commanded, Issuing a call demanded: "Follow me, Heart, if you dare, The road is clear and bare!" But to the Heart such words were hollow: "Where Love is not, I will not follow!" - He declared and turned away From such a selfish play. Clearly such a locked impasse Will not yield or snare a lass - One must call to higher sources, Where but pure reason courses. And the Mind, the judge presiding, A course of action deciding Pondered long about the case, Perplexed look upon his face. Then at last his face rejoiced As his sentence loudly voiced: "The Heart on my left, Helix on my right, As one we shall search for Her Light!" As far as I know they struck a deal, No back-talking and no appeal - And unified as a single guide They found the perfect bride. Now, the Helix met his equal match - Him and Her found secret latch; The Heart – oh, he got lost in other, About him you need not bother. But the Mind - required is no more, He has become quite a bore. Yet - you never know when winds of Fate May call him back to serve the State. CG |
