Amused, He Grinned. Rainer sought a laugh and borrowed it from me. “You’re much too serious!” he quipped. Hence the eyebrow lifted at him who’d been so much more serious. “Where’s your laugh?” I countered. “Residing in your heart. Read between the lines!” quote: I mused, amused, agreeing that at times nothing makes me quite as happy, so very pleased, when to experience but the moment itself, equates to cost: nothing; time: mine; and is it my imagination [could be!] that allows the air to spark with color? Admission: A poet brought me back to you. Rilke: I never left your shadows. Acquiescence: (nodding of heads, spiritual muse to poet) Together: “Let us write.” ~*~ For “The Lady” ~*~ © KRJ January 3, 2007 |

Sissie...wonderful! “Where’s your laugh?” I countered. “Residing in your heart. Read between the lines!” It is so easy to lose, yet is there all along. |

Thanks for the memories of small joys I witnessed often. A doule rainbow spreading across the sky from one low end of the road up and up and across to the other side. Huge and so wide, the best one I had ever seen; for the small hidden glen found not too far from home where the low New England walls of an enclosed area and over growth hid the beauty of the this private forgotten spot, beauty so deep and silent that it brought tears to my eye lids, soft and powerful tears spilled down my cheeks as I sat quietly alone, and grasped the beauty to my heart, just because I had found such silent beauty in an unexpected place; the joy of wandering a small hill and in an unknown place finding the old quarry and the residue of long ago, learning that the rock from this same formation is what layed at the foundation of the Statue of Liberty; when polished, the look of marble pink and warm, Thank you "Sunshine" ... your name so apt~~ late |

Absolutely lovely sunshine! Unfortunetly, we're so busy rushing through life, that we let the moments slip by. Usually, it is only when you get to my stage of life, do you pause to reflect on the beauty around us, and the small...little things of life that are so meaningful...the ones that make our memories so important at this time. Savor the moments...cherish the moments...they will not come again. Bea |

Rainer Maria Rilke has always been one of my favorites. I enjoyed this. Nan (Pilgrim variety) |
