You offer me the words you think I should hear It’s that Mom-thing that you do so well And I watch and wait for a clue No longer simply your daughter I am your watch dog Seeking reality Sometimes lost in my fear Of a life without you in it Words wash over me Bolstering my faltering smile And tomorrow we will face this all again Together. Always together. --- I love you, Mom. Alison |

Alison, this is lovely and would bring tears to any mothers eyes. Nicely penned my friend, good to see you writing again. Hugs and happy new year. |
