smoke fog on the quay
waves singing tales in dark
hot coffee
held in chilly fingers

who we once were
before the veil fell

sound of fog horn
buoy bells clanging
sweetly discordant
wind of soul flying
knowing me
before I knew myself

tell me how you found me
waiting
over salt years
then moor me
keep me here

do not let the waves take me away
