Pain Cant Assuage |

I solemnly cherished and bravely wept, when your magnificent beauty bestowed; a depth of love that pain can't assuage, giving a love… only God could know. Gently stroking… your face with my hand, and caressing your fears away; lost in love and blessed with joy, as by your side I lay. In silent stillness I watch you dream, and think of what could have been. If I'd allowed not… your purest soul, to reach for me and not been seen. But reach you did and show your love, uplifting my soul… with yours. You released a love that dormant lies, and raised my soul to a higher cause. Poetry is just the evidence of life. |
