Whispers

Screaming at the top of your lungs
no one hears?
yelling as loud as you can
no one hears?

i sit in my room
surrounded by nothing but emptiness it seems
with only my thoughts to distract me
the whispers of past events

i re-think events of the day
thinking of what i could've done
what i did wrong
what i didn't do

their voices echo in my head
whispering insults
screaming
screaming softly

i try to block them out
i try not to remember
but the whispers are getting louder
i'm screaming but no one can hear me

   Sometimes a whisper seems more powerful than a raging storm.....
