Now yes, to be, my love, you see: My love, ‘tis you, to me your eyes; I feel, all real, all pleasure’s bound, Cause when I see you, I can tell you lies: I don’t love, I don’t see, I can’t tell you How much I really love you. So now, dear girl, you know, my pearl— Not as white but pure enough, for truth: I can’t care more less—I need the hope You send to me. My heart, ‘tis couth, But yet my dear, ‘tis fragile still. If diamonds break, my heart sure will. |
