Yesterday I judged the stream; why not a river to the sea and the fields in spring still dry should have greened in all this time. But that is me too quick to be in forward move to what will be when the mind is done with “doing” and gives attention to the “being”. Though not at my behest, decree, the stream will one day rise to be a mindful flow of being the intensity of feeling ~ but in judgment days the stream remains and rivers come when I refrain. "the stream will one day rise to be a mindful flow of being" Very thoughtfilled poem, Helen. I've often thought as our journey in life as a stream -- maybe that was planted subconsciously into my brain as a child with the old, Row Row Row Your Boat song....*hugs*....jo |

Thanks, Jo, but I think we may not quite be the masters of our own ships - there's the wind of circumstance and the sea of belief/disbelief that rocks us to and fro but a journey it most decidedly is. |

Helen...thinking how interesting to judge a stream....they do dry up...sometimes before they reach the river...and the sea just doesn't happen for them. Anyway, that's where you led me. |

Thank you, Kate - I'm most honoured and appreciative of your comment. Nancy - thanks. Glad you enjoyed. Martie - yes, and we can't judge the "stream" because perhaps that very judgment keeps it from growing sufficiently to reach the sea of ... feeling. |
