These soft lies

And soft smooth skin

I could wait a lifetime to attain enlightenment

And its right in front of my eyes

I choose to wait

But she begs for my soul

Misunderstanding

Not knowing

The first is the last

Just a memory after that

Replaying like an over watched movie

Experience

Curiosity

The first is always the last

Replaying after that

Impossible

Everything seems so logical

In the moment and out of time

We slip along the first love vine

I whisper the nights dream in your ear

And you give me that look I've dreamt of dreaming

Only Angels look so fine

In this moment

Only you could look so divine

Only you could be my first

Only you and I and a sky immersed

In love that was meant to be

Time will tell what we blindly see

The moments we shared alone

Are now the things shown and outgrown

If I just would have known

Promises end

How could I try and pretend?

How could we know that promises end?

She told me it would end

She told me she was my only friend

Ive been there and done that

But I never understood why she felt that way

Maybe I'll take it to the grave

Maybe it was karma making me pay

Speaking in tongues

Foreign and far away

All the things I could never convey

And right when I realized the things I had seen

It all washed over like a dreadful story book dream

No need to be afraid

No need to play it off that way

What started as the first

Never expected to end any worse

We all need to die

I just never understand the real reasons why...

Lovers turn love into an effable song

But what happens to lovers when love is gone?

Angel of mine

This memory

Will do just fine

"But what happens to lovers when love is gone?"

a poignant question Brandon
and well asked...
