“And Today”,
I ponder
is like some spring flood time
only cooler in it’s spell
of burgundy & emerald nods
whispering luminous
little reverberations
throughout the land
by reflecting candlelight
worshiping living things
upright are trees
of deep sharp minds
circled illumination
of winter homes
mid-evening
has become electrified
and I noticed
elves running through front yards
building woodpiles
a bit higher, a bit more elegant
then before
at night
the sky is blanketed with
polished brass dream stricken
evensong
enigmatic & captivating charge
old pledges & scent paths
of cinnamon oils
welcoming the age
of governesses in
a still unspoiled
uncharted wilderness
of wild splendor
odor of morning
dew bending soft
needles of
eastern blue green white pines
a fire of red cedar logs
steeped unforgettable
in the
hearts of man
prose filled grace notes
behind halos of angelic song
landscaping the season’s
astonishing debut
crisp tinder underfoot
aftermath of sap spilling over
all little pieces of
long glances
now older eyes of human emotion
beautiful explosions
mood and memory
salted in earth’s
wintry cheekbones
of proof
living in the hinterlands
of our time on earth
yours & mine
experience touting silvery
chiseled stars
gaining second fortunes
of idyllic song
chanting intensity
of
what we thought
to be forever gone
like a superb wine
of natural cottages
needled
through holiday
season of red
snow kissed cedar
make love murmurs
for you
and for
this silly ol woman
with emerald eyes

You are always a delight to read. Always full of limbo and saucy symbols.

"this silly ol woman
with emerald eyes"

Yes, but such sweetness, and exuberant keenness for living, resides in those beautiful emerald eyes.

Wonderful write Lee J.
