Those Ties That Bind

Some days there are the times that say it's over let it reign
and then the myst it clouds the mind remembering once the pain.
Wondering how a slice of life can be cut, its depth so deep
that oozing sorrow rises up, disrupting dreams of sleep.

Those moments frozen, were wonderful, if only to these eyes
even though the last was short, challenged by what lies
beneath the skin, within the heart, the meaning of those words.
Those three that often were forgot, in lack of mention heard.

Not attached, those strings are there whenever ties need made
for love can never disappear, its feelings only fade.

M

"for love can never disappear, its feelings only fade"

I hope you're right, Maureen, because I seem to have waited forever for the feelings to fade.  No sign of it yet even though I put it under the spotlight!

I wouldn't want it to fade to nothing...I would want to know that it was real...and now has just become a part of me.

Thank you
M

The more you recall, the more vivid the memories remain.
Well done

Ah yes, thank God for that fading, lest we all go insane.

Thank you for your message of comfort to all of those sickened by the ravages of mortal love.

Merry Christmas!
