To My Sweetheart

My love for you,
was a beginning.
A start of something true,
these three words of "I love you"

Where your heart was mine,
and I hope of your own heart in return.
This love, this beauty, our freshness,
a candle in the window of each soul to burn.

As your image, was a painters brush,
an artist upon a path to savoury thoughts.
Every taste, one to bite, a tenderness,
where without you, there was nothing to behold.

For with your love, there was much more,
two hearts in gathering, of each to adore.
My love for you, a love in the Almighty true,
to know those three words, and this love of you.
