Passion, a draw-string purse, open,
Yearning to release and aspire;
it's a copper wire coiled ten thousand times,
Electro-Magnetized and spinning;
Fired up and grinning

Yet, somewhere…

a small boy has no wonder
Has never sensed the velvet of grass
Or given of pane his windowed breath;
Curiosity bereft;

Where two they meet,
the Passionate and Bereaved,
before potential leaves of wonder
raked away?
A draw string at hand

Subtlety, in superb meter.
You write from a centered place of view and vision.

Cathy, your poetry always deserves at least two reads. The subtle nuances draw me back to ponder anew!
