Inkling~*~

So long I have now waited, prospect to see you smile
Watching with attentive heart, along each endless mile
Walking slowly to catch up, then walking fast to flee
Reaching out with open arms, aspires unendingly

Recovering courageous stance that wanes beyond your view
Discouraging such brave ideals, romance might put me through
Apparently, a heart like mine ignites upon a glance
Kept veiled unto the naked eye, made mute in relevance

Not of the sort to wade within the confines of the dark
As soul for certain rendezvous might destiny embark
Just down a path of brilliant fall, perhaps to spend one day
Where I will find you leaning on a wise word by the way

I had an inkling I'd like this work

Poet, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.

TDiamond... beautiful write...

"Recovering courageous stance that wanes beyond your view... discouraging such brave ideals, romance might put me through."

Nice imagery describing a facade to shield uncertainty and hesitancy... so difficult to let go and unconditionally trust/love.

I’m in awe.  This is an excellent write.
Love this last verse.
