Winters Before You Angora pledged redemption, drawn up closer to be warm Stitching time too tight together, in the shelter of the storm Deeper in the cold forgotten, shoveled far from my front door Leaves the drifting snows of winter prose, hardly visited before Haunting night chimes in the darkness, saunter vastness to affirm Icy sidewalks, crisp the footpaths of the lessons brought to term Often falling, as the snowflakes, landing harder than allowed So the tears that once I’d hidden, are released now right out loud Without looking too far forward, to the melting times ahead Just this blizzard of emotions, simmer something to be said Always near and never farther on the range where wild things roam In attend of fires burning, deep inside my true heart’s home O’er the white out of conditions caused perhaps beyond control Unconditional resilience shines the beacon of the soul Packed together by the mighty, up above predestined strike Bowls an avalanche together putting two as one the like Here before you was a winter, without any thought of spring What was lost, was found together, deep and more of everything Under cover or besieged, with not a candle held to light Yet a new angora promise glows, despite the snow tonight Copyright Kkh 12/9/06 |

Hey Diamond this 1 is going to my hard drive. This was truly a great poem, and I am shocked by the lack of comments. I do have to admit I had to look up Angora. Thanks for sharing this wonderful poem. |
