you were walking your dreams there
had their leash off dragging
laughing when they ran too fast
and suddenly got caught
and whipped around
on some shadow that protruded

I remember your toes in the water
at the edge of someone else's ocean
you just borrowed some foam
and left a footprint as pay
said you would bring it back again
if anyone missed it enough to smile

there were trees behind the curtains
with a sunset caught in their limbs
you asked if I would fix it's wing
and maybe even help it fly again
even though you knew I wasn't god
you thought at least he knew me

so I used your faith and some time
and made a splint of momentary
but it fell behind the horizon anyway
and left us alone in the dark
and there was nothing we could do then
except force our pieces together

and see what they would look like tomorrow

Doctor,
I think the surgical procedure
was a success.

Well done, D.

Totally blew me away D.  You've outdone yourself with this one babe.  Morning hugs.

seek the flame within yourself
and let your soul be cleansed by
the fire of love.  Axel Ekenstierna

Oh, Mr. D, this is lovely...

sometimes those shadows aren't scary and just the distraction we need...

So nice to read you today.

Trees, sometimes their own curtains,
make the most beautiful lace
before they disappear
in the embers of evening,
when the pieces of life's puzzles
meld in the night
and anticipate new dawns.

Lovely, daark!
