Christmas

There's a time each year when every heart is filled with wondrous joy
When magic reaches o'er the earth and finds each girl and boy
Sparkling lights and silver bells bring happiness to all
And candle lights burn brightly as the snow begins to fall

Loved ones come together at this special time of year
To be with one another and to share the yuletide cheer
It's at this time when all mankind remembers a far-off land
When a special gift was given by a father's loving hand

T'was then that baby Jesus came to pardon us from sin
He was born within a manger, in a barn next to an Inn
A shining star led Wise men to the place where Jesus lay
And they placed their gifts of treasure by the baby in the hay

The angels spoke to shepherds as they watched o'er all their sheep
And the star showed them the way to where the baby was asleep
They came to honor Jesus in his lowly bed of straw
And the angels sang his praises as the shepherds watched in awe

And so it is on Christmas day this wondrous story's told
To warm the hearts of children and adults both young and old
So keep this joyous feeling in your hearts throughout the year
And whisper "Happy Birthday" to our savior sweet and dear.

Steve~
This is such a lovely read~

Last evening I went to see 'The Nativity Story' ... oh, my friends ... go see it ... it was truly beautiful ... even if I did already know the ending~
(or should that be 'the beginning')

It was such a pleasure to leave the theatre with a warm and fuzzy feeling~

Steve, I knew there would be magic in a poem written by you and entitled "Christmas"! ~ and I was correct in that assumption!

Beautifully told, master spinner of stories!

Love & Christmas Light,

Linda
