This Day Today the leaves are dancing a jig Faster the ones the end of a twig The trees themselves move little sway Only the leaves shimmer and play I hear the music of the beat Striking each other in repeat Glitters of green in sun light sheen Filling the eye in wonders preen My lungs are filled with fresh turned air My heart sings out in pulsing dare My mind has sipped this wines naïve Once more I take the road believe Into the breach of time I go Into the enzyme of its flow I offer up my mind and heart Each fare to time is but a start How many times will add to one Only time will know when done |
