outside my window
lies a thin beribboned moon
whispering something about new love
clever girl
she knows so much

I saw this ghost moon
riding high
pale
at 3 this afternoon
slipping over blue sky
as if she were getting away with something

now at slow past midnight
she keeps me company

makes me promises

someone else
will have to keep

I like the way how you described the moon. I must have read over 100+ poems about the moon and stars. This poem was not over characterized by adjectives like bright white crystal clear florescent moon. Plain and simple. It was not a mess. I knew what you meant. I did not need a master degree to read this poem, and thank you. Because ever since I joined this website I have had websters dictionary bookmarked *lol* thank you for posting this poem. I look forward to reading more

Lady Kate, I saw lady Luna there last night too, perhaps we were gazing upon her at the same time in our different places.  Was that, that hug I felt?  Loved this Luna write, Kate.

I love reading the philosophy which drips from your pen, as well as the confidence with a warm face...each poem seams a beginning without end

It catches me in it's phasing~
