Would you have me kneel in your presence? It isn’t your feet that keep me coming back. Do you want me to say that I will never love, have never loved another this way? They made me into the person you claim just as your lessons are shaping me now. Should I look to you first and last and everywhere, all the times in between? I will not depend on anyone that that way and I thought you understood. I think you’ve invested too much in hyperboles but open your eyes now, because I can run from the blind. You cannot set your dreams so high, I will not reach them with you holding me down so low. My stars still shine just as bright when compared with your eyes. There is no fire and just as well, because burning and smoke can be dangerous unsteady. Would you have me crumble before you, lover? because love should be a place where I can always stand tall. |

Love always allows you to be proud... Poet, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write. |
