Diffle diffle daffle bunnies Long ears they have, but deaf, They hear what sounds we make But not the message left. Their legs are hidden under desks Sometimes in suits, they sit; They make the rules (for the hunt) However, quickly they forget. They count all eggs in baskets, The first through Number Ten, Can’t remember where they got them, Frommm the working hen! In the henhouse, they're cackling About the stuff they've laid, Shaking heads in disbelief, for the daffle bunny’s over-paid. He dismisses at his choice, then, Shuffles words to please, Scratches his lengthy ears, Pawns’ words, merely fleas. One chicken was not happy, She clicked her heels and clucked, “It’s just not fair, it’s just not fair! Whoops! I’d better hush! (or soon, I may be plucked…”) She fled the coop, and asked advice to the Cool One on the way, “Be like me with water wings, The next time you’re to lay." "Temper, temper does no good when politics are played Pay in silver, pay in gold ‘til platinum egg is laid.” ~~~~misce (Sorry for the rant. I hope it has not offended anyone. I am under so much pressure at work that if I don't write to get some of these feelings out, that I'll go bonkers!) [This message has been edited by miscellanea (11-30-2006 09:35 PM).] |

Marge,Chris, Thanks for understanding. I hate to itch, but sometimes... Marge, YOU? Written something that you couldn't post here? Oh, it must have been a real madhouse! Chris, I may just do that--rant on. Not tonight probably, because my rant has run out thanks to you two and the pen... Thank you both for your comments. misC |

Wow, if your rants start with: "Diffle diffle daffle bunnies" then mine must sound something like Stalin during a purging. |

Edward, What a comparison. Somehow, I just can't see that! Thanks for making me feel a little less itchie! ~misc~ tek, I don't read poetry much outside of here, and didn't realize that it is often work related. Makes sense, though. Glad you enjoyed the rant. Thank you for your kind response. ~misc~ The Lady, I'm so glad some of it made you laugh. I design some of my poetry to make MYSELF laugh! Matter of fact, I've got something going on in my head write now that I think will be fun to write. I can't wait to write about it! Take care; see you soon at your post. misc |
