Kate sunshine, Kate sunshine
you overwhelmed me
but I'll be just fine
after the night has come to rest
upon your cheek 'cause I love you best
and I demand nature to praise you
let it all light up the evening and amaze you

Tonight it's the city lights
that shine on the clouds
that curve into your bright smile
Swallowing planes that fly
through the blue misty night
through the sigh that escapes your lips

And in the morning, it's...

Kate sunshine, veils so fine
you brighten my day
be my July valentine
after all, you save me from myself
in your shady eyes I find my wealth
and I await every spring to restore you
let it all light you up to say I adore you

Tonight it's the city lights
that shine on the clouds
that curve into your bright smile
Astonished by your astronomy
bathing everything in sight
with a white light, the stars you take to you
