      Remember Me?
       ________

Do you ever think of me
as you walk through your life?
Does my face ever cross your mind,
I, who was once your wife?

Does your heart ever soften
for the one you left behind,
or am I just a fleeting memory
pushed back in your mind?

Do you sometimes wish to change
the choices that you made,
or would you take the same path
knowing the price you paid?

Sometimes a road once taken
leaves no room for a return,
thus leaving you no option
but to let your bridges burn.

Still, I wonder...
do you ever think of me?

Siyo MsSouthernOrchid

I wonder how many women share this thought in this sad throw away world we live? Perhaps they do remember, but for we who were left behind better to look forward with no regret the choice was taken from us,so be it,eh?

I'm sure men think the same thought as well.  Even men can be human

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.

He might have regrets, but so true...we let the bridges burn....with no option for return.

Heartfelt read here, it touched my heart.

Interesting that you answer your own questions and yet still dare to question.
If I was him I would think of you fondly.
