No Rest For The Wicked, Come and Dance With The Devil... Look at me, miss centre of attention I’ve returned from my holiday with a whole new sense of direction I’ve cleaned out my closet of things old an new Scared away the voices that I thought I knew. I was never made to be perfect, nobody will ever be I wish I was pretty but I’d just rather be me It takes a drought to make a country stronger A funeral to make a family love each other longer With no self-courage I just cant seem to do everything without rest So how can I sail a ship straight through a tempest without knowing it is best A holiday will never change who I have always been But it has made my priorities stronger than they ever used to seem What if you were to wake up today? With an unfamiliar face staring at you in dismay. Would you open your door, eyes shining bright? Inviting them in for tea and a Turkish delight. I am no longer sure of the decisions that I make But I do know that the one I love will never be there when I awake. I hate who I am to a certain level But remember There is no rest for the wicked, so come and dance with the devil Lost Between The World Of Fun and Reality.. |
