SEEING YOU
AFTER ALL THESE YEARS

though it was
the best
of all
the places
we travelled

and though time
has sealed
the fissure
that opened
between us

I am afraid
to go
to bed
with you

it could be
like returning
to Athens
after
the earthquake
to find
the ruins
in ruins
