If you found her
With deer
In the woods
You wouldn’t be
The least surprised

Like first Eve
Little more
Than sensual animal
Who draws you
To the path she glides

If only a man
Could live in that garden
With lotuses for spices
At every meal

Free from the noise
That mosquito conscience makes
Unaware of the serpent’s bite
