you're surrounding my platform

with thoughts that make me want to conform

to your way of doing things

               is it the norm

for me to want to see your personality bling

with diamonds and gold and other glittering things?

if not, would you help me sing the correct way?

i'm more ready than Paul Young to never watch you walk away
