Loneliness When there is that quiet contentment Or that solemn self-sensual solitude As seen from cloud crowned mountains And the endless rims of ancient oceans There must be cause to ponder the prose Of the most loved of Angels and poets Penning the pain and love of dreamers Wanting what the heart rarely realizes But in expression and visions so surreal The writ only of fantasies induced by delusions In a place weepers lay their heads Awakening from the dead flower’s scent And the touch and embrace of a cheating lover From which innocence freezes then unfreezes Much like heartbreak and infatuation Under the shade of the moon kissing the sun Most beautiful to the blind yearning to make reason Of circumstances and the secret to the seemingly blessed And the non-inclusive souls that invisibly pray For the strength to do right by the righteous Instead of doing selfish for self-fulfillment and preservation Written on the hearts of souls of sinners To be read only when that special place is reached A haven of golden heavens and silver paradises When the limits of reality extend beyond comfort And tears drown the lost in darkness and pain Leaving the newly awakened in humble serenity Among thoughts, loneliness and the love of God. Soulful, in the pale shadows of half lit surf. Beautifully written. TD |
