(They Dared Disturb the Universe!) [based on a most fine short ‘Science Fiction’ story by Dr. Eugene D. Radice] Where Time was but a memory beneath a dying sun, across a cold and dusty sea, came men with truck and gun. To win a pointless stellar war became the captain’s quest, where ruins from forgotten lore had sought eternal rest. A ‘curse’ lay on these ravaged lands to mock the petty fools, who brought in greedy mortal hands destruction’s deadly tools. ....but voices murmer’d in the wind of millions who were lost... in payment for the warfare-sin their deaths had been the cost!.... One by one....men ‘disappeared’ Beneath the laughing sun, Just stars remain’d when dust had cleared, So much....for truck....and gun! |

I might presume/assume that there is another force that has the high cards, so to speak. Great cadence, well written. |
