A Tall Order

Ancient redwoods reach
Arthritic limbs, clutching sky,
Holding up Heaven.

I prefer to be a dreamer among the humblest, with visions to be realized, than lord among those without dreams and desires. -Khalil Gibran

I loved this!
Reminded me of when I saw
the redwoods while I lived in CA...
Awe-inspiring!

Peace & Namaste,

Thanks, Moonkist.

I was blown away when I first saw those incredible trees when I was a child.  I have seen them since, but unlike a childhood home where everything is smaller than you remember, these trees seem even larger and much more grand every time that I see them.

What an awe-inspirin sight.

John

JL  Redwood trees are a wonder...they do hold up the sky and make a lovely place for the fern to grow.

Hi, Midnitesun.

I really feel spiritual beside those trees, and I don't see how anyone else could not.

Thanks for writing!

Thanks, EA.

I always work hard to make the title as important as the Haiku or Senryu.  Both are equally descriptive for me and my style.

Thanks for the nice comments!

Hi, Martie.

Oooh, yes!  I have some WONDERFUL pictures of the ferns...and some small waterfalls.  It is such a magical setting that it's like being in a giant, forest-scented cathedral.  It is a very spiritual experience.
